The epic saga concludes as the Rebel Alliance mounts a final, desperate attack against the Galactic Empire. The story begins with Luke Skywalker, now a powerful Jedi Knight, leading a mission to rescue Han Solo from the clutches of the vile crime lord Jabba the Hutt on the planet Tatooine. Following a successful rescue, Luke returns to Dagobah to complete his training with Master Yoda, who confirms a shocking family truth before passing away.

Meanwhile, the Empire has secretly begun construction on a second, even more powerful Death Star, protected by a shield generator on the forest moon of Endor. The Galactic Emperor, Darth Sidious, oversees the final stages of the station, intending to use it as a trap to crush the Rebellion once and for all.

The Rebel fleet, led by Admiral Ackbar and Lando Calrissian, prepares for a massive space assault, while a ground team including Princess Leia, Han Solo, and Luke infiltrates Endor with the help of the native Ewoks.
